Farms, Furbabies & Friend's Inc. "Learning to Give"

"Learning to Give" was a fantastic experience this year.  In October, the kiddos of Farms, Furbabies & Friend's Preschool dug-up 20lbs of potato and harvested 1lb of onions from their garden.  As the parents gathered, they brought with them several bags packed with other items to add to the donation.  

Our goal is to provide fresh vegetables to those that are in need and to pass along to our kiddos a "sense" of helping others.  It was an incredible experience to gather once again with my parents and students.   To end off the day, we were given a tour of the facility, which included a hexagonal-shaped greenhouse, working kitchen, and freezer area, as well as a view of the food storage area in the warehouse.

  "Learning to Give" is our moto for this Harvest project.  This past October, the kiddos of Farms, Furbabies & Friend's Preschool worked very hard to dig-up 30lbs of potato and harvest 2-3lbs of onions from their garden.  Their goal was to help provide fresh vegetables to those that were in need.  It was an incredible experience as several students, siblings and moms came along with their own items to donate as well.  We were given a tour of the facility, which included a new state-of-the-art kitchen, and freezer area, as well as a view of the food storage area in the warehouse.  This was an incredible learning opportunity for our kiddos and a great day for us.
